Surgical Neuro-oncology (Brain and Spine Tumor Surgery)

Dr. Dagnew is a fellowship-trained brain and spine tumor surgeon, having been trained at the top-ranked and world-renowned cancer facility, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He has expertise and vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spine, and pituitary tumors. Dr. Dagnew utilizes the latest technology, including stereotactic image guidance and awake surgery with brain mapping to perform a biopsy or remove tumors, even from the more critical parts of the brain with excellent outcomes. Furthermore, he treats spine tumors that involve the bones of the spine, the spinal cord, and nerves. At times, conventional surgery is not the best option, and when indicated, Dr. Dagnew uses the latest knife-less surgery using CyberKnife radiosurgery (targeted radiation).
